Ingredients
- 2 cups Eden Valley Rye Flour
- 2 cups coconut
- 2 cups flaked oatmeal
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup, treacle or honey
- 1/2 lb. butter or fat
- 4 tablespoons water
- 1 1/2 level teaspoons carbonate soda
Instructions
- Place all dry ingredients in a bowl.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and golden syrup.
- Put water, warmed, on soda, and pour into butter and syrup.
- Let boil a minute, add to the dry ingredients and mix well together.
- Place in blobs on a tray and press with a fork.
- Bake until a light brown.
